I'd be up for some old school RTS like Starcraft but I'll pass on Diablo since I prefer competitive multiplayer games at lans and not story driven co-op games.

Well I've been playing a bit of borderlands lately. Hopefully we might be able to find some kind of workaround so we can play MW2 and L4D2 at the lan since we wont be able to have steam online. It's getting a bit frustrating that games aren't including lan functionality. I'm not really into Epic RPG's so I haven't picked up Dragon Age. I think thats the main big games. I don't think I have anything else on my radar before the lan. Maybe Dirt 2 depending on how it reviews and I've been playing the Monkey Island games... looks like another episode is out soon.

We had a working lan version of l4d2 at the last lan but I don't recall anyone playing it because everyone was too busy playing COD We had some epic UT04 matches in the early days.

We played a last man standing match in UT once with 100 lives with about 12 people on the largest map we could find. It was full on deathmatch for about 2 hours non-stop.

I thought multiplayer was taken out of the PC version of Ghostbusters. I was really looking forward to playing Ghostbusters but never got past the tutorial because the Voices were really out of sync for me for some reason. Like 1s out - with a different person on screen to the one I was hearing. It was pretty unbearable for a game that the story was half the game. The gameplay seemed fun but I couldn't get over the faulty sound.

To apply the update, click the File menu inside of Steam and then select "Check for Steam Client Updates...". The specific changes include: Steam Client - Fixed not always decrypting a game on launch - Really fixed offline mode not always working - Fixed cases where a game would stop downloading for no reason

Haven't had a chance to test it properly with my 2nd PC not hooked up at the moment. And I think Hollis has the gigabit switch not that running through my router is much different. Maybe you'll just have to come over for a test run.
